So, I turned 30 years old nine days ago. I sure as heck don't feel like 30, or at least I'm not where I thought I would be at 30 in terms of life expectations. I don't have a masters degree, I'm not thinking about kids, I don't even have a start on a solid career. But! I do know that I am happy with who I am for the most part (I'm still the best procrastinator around!), I'm grateful for the blessings in my life, I love my boyfriend and my family with all of my heart, and I have the greatest friends! All in all, I look forward to getting up in the mornings and to what life has to offer. Here's to another new chapter in life, and to only making it better! Oh, Mariah, you are beautiful!!! I am so sorry this B-Day wish for a wonderful friend comes so late! Please forgive us. I am so excited that you'll be home in June and so sorry to hear you have to leave Tulane behind. I think you should move it to Albuq. Maybe we can meet up this Christmas!!! Love you and miss you tons, Shelley, Dan, Tucker, and baby!!!!
Hey Mariah! I'm so lame at this blogging stuff so far, I didn't even realize you left a comment until just now. Happy Birthday! Merry Christmas! Mazeltov! Are you going back to Albuquerque? You are amazing for letting Aaron go to Afghanistan. My brother was in the first Iraq war and it was not easy to take...but maybe a good experience for Aaron as he's obviously not a soldier.
Well, Aaron actually is a soldier. He served 10 years in the navy after being an air force brat and traveling all over the world with his family. Aaron was on an air craft carrier for four years and then was detailed in a few places as a controller. We thought it would be worth another go around as he is very good at what he does and because the job payed so much. As life would have it, it wasn't worth the pay, and we are very glad to have him home! Now he's back at work in peaceful NM and watching beautiful sunsets. :-)
